Good Luck Candle
(submitted by several people - no idea who originated it!)
Bayberry votive wrapped in netting, tied with curly ribbon, with the bayberry candle poem attached on a decorative card.

THIS BAYBERRY CANDLE COMES FROM A FRIEND.
SO ON CHRISTMAS EVE, BURN IT DOWN TO THE END.
BECAUSE A BAYBERRY CANDLE BURNED TO THE SOCKET,
BRINGS LUCK TO YOUR LIFE AND MONEY TO YOUR POCKET!!!

Night to Remember
(Vanessa Brown - August)
Plastic champagne glasses filled with votive or tealight, chocolate mint, matches, bath bead, teabag, etc, wrapped in Mylar,
cello, tissue, or netting, tied with ribbon, with the Night to Remember poem attached.

RELAX WITH WAX
DRAW ONE BATH, LOCK DOOR
LIGHT ONE CANDLE, ADD ONE BATH BEAD,
EAT ONE CHOCOLATE.
RESULT-COMPLETE RELAXATION!

Emergency Stress Relief Kit
(Andrea Cloutier submitted this early in September)
Put these together in inexpensive little baskets from craft stores

A chocolate kiss to remind you that you are loved
A match to light your fire when you feel burned out
A Tootsie Roll to remind you not to bite off more than you can chew
Smarties to help you on those days you don't feel so smart
A Starburst to give you a burst of energy on those days you don't have any
Snickers to remind you to take time to laugh
A bag to help you keep it all together and to give you food for thought
And most importantly, a candle to remind you that you can brighten someone's day!

Survival Kit
Katrina Bell...Always Fantastic Region
This can be done in a size 10 font and printed on 6x9 manila envelopes. (It is best to remove the butterfly clasp or it could get jammed.) The items can be put in the envelope and given to anyone who needs a boost!

Lifesaver
(I've used this as quickie teacher gifts, doorprizes, etc)
4 or 5 different colored plastic tealites rolled up in a piece of shiny Mylar or clear cellophane, tied at each end (like a tootsie roll) with curly ribbon.

Big Dipper
(Vanessa Brown submitted this idea back in August)
2 vanilla votives (to look like ice cream scoops), arranged in Wal-Mart's glass votive holders (57 cents - they look just like sundae glasses - find them in the candle aisle of the crafts & fabric department - not the regular candle & party goods aisle), then you put black or brown Mylar shreds on the top of the votives(arrange like it is chocolate syrup or fudge running over the top of the votive..ice cream..) then cover the glass with clear cellophane or Mylar.

Frosty Junior
Judy in the Classics region

Spray the ivory ceramic 3-wick holder with gold spray paint, place the large snowball on it, wrap the whole thing in sparkly netting or tulle (she said she found some that actually had gold stars all over it), tie with a ribbon & attach the Frosty Junior poem to it.

My name is Frosty Junior
I'm a [candle from Cape Cod].
The longer that you burn me, the better I'll do my job.
Just keep my wick to a quarter-inch and I'll burn right down the center.
And since I'm made of peppermint, I make a perfect room-scenter!
When my wick gets to the bottom, don't throw me out, oh dear!
Just drop in our votive candle and bring me out each year.
I make a perfect gift for someone you think is great,
So if you would like more of me, call (your name & number)!!!
(poem submitted to AOL board by Chrysa Contarsi, and several other people at various times)

#1 Teacher Pillar
Donna Joseph, Classics

I am having GREAT success with the 3X9 pillar candles.  I made a wrapper for them that looks like a Crayola Crayon wrapper.  Where the circle is that says "Crayola" I put "#1 Teacher."  I bring one made up to my shows and tell people what a great Christmas gift this is for their kid's teachers - and only $10.00!!  I have sold tons of 3X9's and will send each customer as many wrappers as they need to go with them.

I know we can come up with even more great ideas - BUT - company policy forbids actually selling product at craft fairs to start with. However, you could display these items in order to generate interest in crafty people booking a show in order to make & sell these things themselves, right??? You could provide printed instructions & suggested pricing to anyone who booked a show...

And of course - you can use these ideas to promote your own business, never mind the craft fairs! Good luck...how about some more crafty ideas...email them to Belinda
