ABOVE and BEYOND CANCER intro.
Hi Everyone!
It has been some time scene I last posted. As many of you know, I
have not returned phone calls or answered e-mail letters as well.
It's not that I have lost interest in the ACS campaign, PL , or you
my many friends.
As many of you know, my mom passed away July 1,2001 from cancer. Scenes
that time, I have been quite ill myself. I was hospitalized many
times for illness that are NOT cancer related. Due to my health I
have not worked sense September and plain to retire altogether. I'm
on many meds that are having bad side effects that often seem worse than
my illness themselves! What can you do when they tell you to take the meds
or die?
I hope to begin writing a little from time to time as my heart and mind
are with you even if my body isn't! I have not been well enough to
go to regional meetings for the last 8 months and find myself very out of
touch with all the PL happenings. I do know that we are still
raising money for ACS , a cause that will always be close to my heart!
I have written a speech to be used for fundraising called "ABOVE and
BEYOND CANCER" that I will be making available to you in the future.
Until that time, I'll be writing a few other things I hope to share with
you.
I would love to talk with many of you and answer all of
your personal
e-mails. However; my health at this time doesn't allow much time for that.
I
will try to stay more in touch as my health gets better.
