Whether it is by our example or what we say throughout life, we all
tend to follow in our mothers footsteps!
A young girl asked her PL mother if only people in PL could raise
money for ACS or if she could as well. Her mom was delighted
that by her example, her children were interested in helping others as
well. On her own free will, the girl raised money for ACS at her
school along with the help of her friends. Without realizing it,
a PL leader has left behind many footsteps that her children are following
in.
We never know what part of our lives that will most impact our
children; nonetheless, they will be right behind us as they become
adults. Will this young lady become a SRVP in PL? We can't
say. She will become her own person and go on to become what she
is interested in. She might love the smell of her mom's candles
and become a chemist creating new candle scents and dyes.
Maybe she will like the business aspect of PL and become the CEO of a
large corporation. Then again, she might become a scientist or
research doctor and find a cure for cancer.
Will the cure come from the child of a PL leader or hostess that
became interested in curing cancer from the example you set?
Only time will tell, however; all of you are working hard at leaving
behind many deep footprints for our children to follow in!
Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year, Hank
