In reply to a candlecyberunit post about choosing to do multiple direct sales businesses at one show.

Dear Dixie,

I'm sorry to say this but your story is an old one that pops up from time to time.

First of all, What can you do about the other consultant? I say wish her well! She no doubt is in the same boat that you are in and needs bookings to keep her business going. It is never a good thing to be working against other members of our PL family, we must support one another!!! I would guess that she had no idea that you were working on the same thing. If anything, call her and kindly let her know about the name to help her keep out of problems. You just might find your new best friend for life on the other end
of the line!
Also, ask her if she is interested in talking with you once a week to encourage each other in the business!

As for the other business, What's that all about? The grass is only greener where it is watered and fertilized! PL has the best program out there! If you can't make your 2+2 calls with PL, what makes you think this new business will get you to? What is the demand for the product and how long will it take people to use it up before needing to replace it? It all comes down to this. Either you work hard at your business or you work hard complaining about it!

The lady that sponsored me in PL has quit and started 9 or 10 other businesses in the time I have known her. What she should do is spend her time giving one business her all in all and making it work! She is great at it! I think she wants to make $100,000 a year in the first 6 months by working when she feels like it. If any of you know of a business like that, call me!

If you can honestly tell me that you have made your 2+2 calls each and every day, made follow up calls to all your guest, and put as much WORK into your PL business as everyone else puts into there JOB; you will get my blessing to give another business a try!

But first I hope you will stop looking at the big picture and think about today! What improvements can I make today? Just one new booking not a full calendar. The calendar will come when you take care of today first!

Love, Hank
