[Best of Boards]  [BoB for Bunnies] [Tealited Tidbits]

July 30, 2001

Dear Friend,

I am overwhelmed by the hundreds of letters and phone calls I have  in
response to the ACS program at National conference!  I would like to thank
everyone at the home office for making one of my dreams come true.  I have
wanted to make an impact on the lives of others through our ACS campaign and
by your letters and phone calls, know that I have.  However, I have a dream
to keep the spirit of the program alive and need your help to do so!!!
Everyone at national conference received the wonderful new Snowbell Tealight
Holder that has an ACS program built in!  To recreate the ACS program at your
shows, you might wish to use this one that I have written myself.

The Snowbell!
I would now like to introduce all of you to a very special family that is a
new member of our PL family.  It is a family of snowmen called The
Snowbell Tealight Holder.  This charming family of three reminds us that one
in every three of us will come down with some form if cancer in our life
time! That’s right, in this room tonight counting the hostess and myself, 5
of the 15 people will one day have cancer.  If you look closely at the
Snowbell Tealight Holder, you will see 5 birds; 2 red, 2 blue and 1 yellow.
The yellow bird reminds us that 1 in 5 people will die from cancer.  In this
group tonight that would be 3 of us. As sad as this fact is, the Snowbell
also brings us a message of  hope.  You see, for every Snowbell that we sell;
PL will donate $2 to ACS .  That’s right, you will help us with our fight
against cancer just by purchasing one.  This is truly a gift from your heart
when you give it as a gift this year!  If you know a cancer survivor or a
friend that has been effected by cancer, this is a gift that they will
cherish the rest of there lives. At this time of year when giving is on our
heart, why not give one to yourself as well.  With your help, together we
will change the numbers and one day have a party in which none of us will die
from cancer.  Thanks for giving a gift of hope.

Sincerely,

Hank
