From the lists on onelist:
I know many of you have been anxiously awaiting the
release of PartyTrak - The new FREE database for tracking
all types of information and contacts as well as parties, etc. for our PL
business.
You must have Access 97 in

Everything is going well and we are now ready to release
the public version to all of my friends here on the onelist and anyone
else you care to share this within the direct sales industry.
Once again, there is NO COST to you for

each of you a few dollars for this program.

There is an on screen tutorial and we will be glad to
answer any of your questions you may have about PartyTrak.

Have you checked the Business
Links pages lately? I just added a new link to Online
Resources - Step Into Success (Belinda Ellsworth). They've put
together a great website and have some neat product offerings. Be sure to
let them know how you found them!
Two great contributions - especially in light of
Father's Day weekend which is now upon us. Be sure to take time to thank
the [Company] Man in your life (or your significant support person of
course, I'm still searching for that special [Company] Man myself LOL)
The Men Of
[Company] Husbands originated from Cindy Boeselager GL,
Pillars of the Plains Unit, Phenomenal Region. It was written in honor of
Gina Kuhl's husband for her RVP Celebration!

Subject: Effective Wording!
I can't tell you how much of a HUGE difference it has made for me in the past few days to start offering not "shows" but "SHOPPING SPREE'S!".
A lot of people seemed to be saying no as soon as they heard the words "home show or party, etc., etc." but now they say - "What kind of shopping spree?" Then you go on to explain the hostess program (I just say you ask some friends over and open a bag of chips or Oreos) and I
tell them that I call it a shopping spree because I give so much more free stuff away than other type "parties" ($75 - $100). Instead of 1st thinking about the WORK - clean the house and buy some munchies, they think "FREE!" I have tried to eliminate the word show and party from my vocabulary except where I can't possibly think of another word. I say. "So, what date would be most convenient for YOUR SHOPPING SPREE?" and like when
someone asks me what I do, now I say "I give away candle SHOPPING SPREES!" etc, etc.
I would suggest you try it and just see the difference - it's a POWERFUL change in phrasing to get bookings at the actual party, too. "Can't you tell (hostess) is having a great time on her SHOPPING SPREE...so what do you have picked out so far, (hostess)? Anyway, I think you probably have gotten the point by now! LOL

And The Winner Is...another great post from Hank!
Could you be the $10,000,000 winner?
Great Booking Idea off the candlecyberunit list from Lisa B!
I have been using "Firecrackers and Bombs" and is working out
awesome!! I wrap anywhere from 3-5 Tealites to look like a piece of candy, using
blue and red tissue paper, tying them off with white ribbon. Letting the hostess
know if she gives all 4 "firecrackers" away (4 Bookings) she will get the
"Bomb"
Right now am using a ball candle for the "bomb", but 2-3 voitives will work just
the same. (Wrapped in red/blue) Goes well with the 4th of July display. Within 3
shows got 11 bookings. Even if half of them hold, will have a great month.
If you try this please let me know how the response is.
Have a great month...Lisa B

Thanks Rene Applegarth for a new Show Outline
and a great game called Let's Make A Deal! These
have been very successful for her and for the consultants in her unit over the past three
years. If my translation leaves you with questions on either topic, be sure to email Rene
for further explanation (her email is on the bottom of each page)

It's so nice to be missed! Please never hesitate to email me when you notice an
unusually long period of time without updates! In this case, it's been due to an
incredibly busy period of travel for me doing tech work, but in case there had been a
problem with the website, that's the only way I would know - all you faithful daily
followers suddenly noticing no updates!
It's taken me all morning today, but the directory is totally current to the
best of my knowledge. If you've been waiting to see your name show up, check it out and
make sure it's correct. There are several different formats to the individual state pages,
because we're currently revising them to be more print-effective (ie: less paper, easier
to read, etc.) That, however, is a lengthy process so will be done as time permits.
Same thing with the past guestbook pages...working on cleaning those up and
moving them to the same
If you've mailed me requests for the fund-raiser sheet
(and included the requested stamps) but have not received it yet, you might drop me an
email. I've tried to turn those around the same day I receive them, but it's possible in
the past two weeks that I may have shuffled the envelopes in the piles of paperwork here
in my office and be overdue in replying. Those of you who HAVE received them, you might
email me with your success stories to add to the site, how have you used the fund raiser
sheets, how successful was it, are there things you might have changed or done
differently?
If you haven't been to Jenny B's website lately - www.thebooster.com - you might want to pop in. Most
of you know, Jenny B stickers and sales aids
Are you all getting ready for conference? Here's a great little Conference
Survival Kit that was posted today on the AOL board (and originated on another company's
board).
Conference Survival Kit
Rubber Band: to remind you to stretch in at least one
new area of your business.
Certs: Get out of your comfort zone sit with someone at meals that you
don't know. Talk & learn as many new ideas as you can from each person that you meet.
There's no need to worry because your breath smalls great!
Mounds: To remind you that you have mounds of good ideas to share with
others. Don't sell yourself short. Your perspective on a question may be just what someone
else needs to achieve greater success in their business!
Snickers: Relax & laugh. Be sure to have fun!
Ink Pen: I threw this in just because almost everyone loses at least one
during conference!
Life Savers: For the times when your head is swimming with so many new
ideas that you feel like you're drowning. Eat one & remember that you're not alone.
Toothpick: You're going to hear all kinds of new ideas. Pick the ones
that fit your philosophy & personality & discard the others. ( decide where you
need to use your rubber band first! )
Pay Day: Although you won't be able to implement everything that you
learn in the first week you're home, it is important that you decide on some bite size
pieces to work on immediately. If you incorporate this knowledge into specific actions,
your future pay should reflect a healthy increase!
HAVE A GREAT TIME! Sue
