ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!
It's possible there may be a few stray envelopes in my mail
Monday morning to add to the total, and any stray envelopes on Tues/Wed/Thur/Fri
hopefully I'll be able to get updated via email to me by the friends I
have staying at my house this week - so don't worry if your check didn't
arrive by the 15th - it will still get to ACS - it just might end up on
the beginning of next year's goal.

Raffle Update $3,180.00!!!!!
Several have asked for clarification on
where/when the PayPal referral bonuses count toward ACS - I will update
tomorrow's final calendar entry on the Raffle Page with a separate
listing for all the referral bonuses from May through present. Yes, they
all go to ACS too, but no, they don't count as an additional raffle
entry.

Don't forget if you initiated the PayPal sign up but haven't confirmed
it, the referral has not yet been paid to yourself OR to the referrer
(BoB in this case). I believe you must respond to an email from PayPal
after signing up to verify that the email address you used is in
actuality a legitimate email. Only then is your registration confirmed
and referrals paid. Check the status of your PayPal referral on this
page, and if your name shows up as "Pending" - you'll
need to confirm with PayPal in order to finalize your signup and collect
your sign-on bonus.

FLING UPDATE
The Friday Nite Fling will be held IN my hotel room at the Venetian.
Name on the room is Belinda Johnson. Come any time between 7pm &
10pm - the Room Number itself will be posted on the PL message board
after I know it. We had hoped to have an actual conference meeting room
but the cost was outrageous.
You will be able to continue to purchase
raffle tickets for the Bag Lady
Raffle that evening, but not for the Bonus BoB Bonanza Box. You
do NOT need to be present to win either the Bag Lady Raffle or the
Bonanza Box, however, throughout the evening we will do
"door-prize" type drawings for TONS of other Business Links
items that have been donated. The complete list will be finalized this
weekend - but there is a LOT!!!!! The door prize drawings will be to
take with you, so obviously, for those you DO need to be present to win!
If we draw your name and you are not there we will re-draw a new name.
It will be a fun, casual, informal
get-together - dress is whatever you wish to wear, (but IS required LOL!!)

Ellie-Jo Scent Stacks Clarification
1. The FREE offer is for the REGULAR Jar scents -
NOT the HS Jar scents.
2. MC & VISA are ONLY accepted through PayPal - she has not and is not planning to set up individual merchant account processing for credit cards - it is quite costly which is why many small online retailers are using the online payment services.
3. The order form is NOT interactive at this point - it's there to print out and mail, or just to have all the information at ready glance. There's nothing "wrong" with it (no - you can't "fill in" the blanks online) - it's meant to be that way AT THIS POINT. It

MS Office 97 PRO CDs $40 each
I'm just passing on a great way to get MS
Office 97 PRO (includes Access 97 - with which you can run the free
Partytrak program provided by Fran and Lloyd Nichols on the Business
Links page of BoB).
As you know - I actually operate a Web Development
Business that keeps me very busy - through being a business owner (not
an individual) I have an opportunity through a business-to-business site
to purchase original shrink-wrapped CD's with the registration sticker
inside the plastic for the full Office 97 PRO at a great price. I
ordered one on Thursday just to verify the legitimacy for myself - it
came yesterday (Saturday) and it is the original packaging. (Hint
- read further - you might actually win THIS CD!!) I will order
copies for anyone else who is interested. The regular retail is around $175
for the PRO version.
As you also know, Office 2000 is (and has been) of
course out, and the PRO version of that is well over $250 retail. I do
personally have both, and can tell you for a fact that I personally
still prefer Office 97 features over the newer version, and USE the
Office 97 version. It is likely to actually be the industry standard for
many years to come. With it, you'll have full working, registered copies
of Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and Outlook (though I DON'T
recommend using Outlook 97 - it's not even as stable as Outlook Express
which is free), and you'll be able to open and edit all the theme
files, flyers, fund raisers, etc that everyone contributes so freely to
BoB and the email groups.
I'll order copies tomorrow (Monday) for anyone who
PayPal's their payment to me today (Sunday) (use belinda@bestofboards.com
as the PayPal recipient) - no guarantees but you'll LIKELY
have it before you leave for conference if you are on this first order.
After I return from conference I'll check back into the source and see
if they are still available to do another order for anyone who wants to
wait.
Oh - gee I hope you read this far because if you
did - I'm adding that CD that I ordered first to the BoB
Bonanza Box!!! So if you haven't sent your raffle entry - you
have less than a week to do so and possibly WIN your own copy of MS

Knock on wood... the finalized LOCATION for the Fling should be set

highlight of the evening will be the drawing for the ACS Raffle and

ACS Raffle Update $1,380
New graphics on Bcards
As with all pictures and
information on BoB, these graphics are freely available for you to
use personally if you choose. However, they are optimized for use
with a color laser quality printer - and the quality of ink-jet
printed cards is not even close (which is why I did not have them
available for the Bcards page until I had a chance to reformat
them for use with the new laser printer). Please - if you print
your own cards using these graphics - make a comparable donation
to ACS in return!
PLEASE! Do
not use these images on your personal webpage UNLESS you
provide a link back to Best of the Boards as your resource. I have
taken a lot of time to develop the resources found here and
appreciate the common courtesy of giving credit where credit is
due. I have ALWAYS done the same in return.
