Hi everybody!! This is tealited. I'm still
in St. Louis and just wanted to say that it has been awesome meeting
everyone. For those of you who weren't able to be here - we missed
you! I thought you might like to see a pic of the BoB team so here
we are at the Friday Night Fling. Steve surprised Belinda by
crowning her Web Goddess!
Our Final total collected for the BoB ACS fund was
$4267.85! Awesome! Thanks so much everyone for your
generous donations and congratulations to the winners of the raffle
drawing!! Next years goal is $6000.00!
For those of you who donated to the Belinda gift fund
- Thank You!! We surprised her with a diamond necklace from
Helzbergs. We'll have a pic of the necklace posted soon for all of
you to see. She was also presented with a card with all your names
and messages to her.

URGENT VIRUS WARNING - the "Sircam"
VIRUS is NOT A HOAX.
Folks this particular virus is running rampant. Since Friday night I
have received it in my email inbox over 20 times from at least 6
different people. If I've gotten it from you - I emailed you back with
instructions. The following is the direct link to Symantec (Norton)
removal instructions.

The worst part is - my Norton AntiVirus is totally up
to date - and it's NOT detecting it when it comes in. I've contacted
Norton about this and sent them the files that are not being detected so
they can update their virus files, but as of this morning I'm STILL
receiving it undetected.
There is much more information on this virus and how
to find out if you have it AND how to remove it, but because I want to
be sure you guys all take this seriously and are aware of how it looks
when it comes into your email - here are the technical identification
flags to watch for:
Technical description:
This worm arrives as an email message with the
following content:
Subject: The subject of the email will be
random, and will be the same
as the file name of the attachment in the email.
Message: The message body will be semi-random, but will always
contain one of the following two lines (either English or Spanish) as
the
first and last sentences of the message.
Spanish Version:
First line: Hola como estas ?
Last line: Nos vemos pronto, gracias.
English Version:
First line: Hi! How are you?
Last line: See you later. Thanks
Between these two sentences, some of the following
text may appear:
Spanish Version:
Te mando este archivo para que me des tu punto de vista
Espero me puedas ayudar con el archivo que te mando
Espero te guste este archivo que te mando
Este es el archivo con la informaci=n que me pediste
English Version:
I send you this file in order to have your advice
I hope you can help me with this file that I send
I hope you like the file that I sendo you
This is the file with the information that you ask for
Now - you do NOT activate the virus by reading the
text message in the email. The only way to activate the virus is to open
(or double click) the attachment - which has been coming into my email
this weekend as (randomname).zip.pif. NEVER open any attachment that has
a DOUBLE file extension - no matter WHO it came from. A little bit of a
relief - when I tried saving the attachment separate from the email in
order to send it directly to Norton for analysis, the Norton AntiVirus
DID catch it and warn me that it is a known virus file. It's just not
catching it on the way in.
If you receive it - delete it immediately - and send a
friendly email back to the email that sent it to you (LOL - WITHOUT THE
ATTACHED VIRUS FILE) and INCLUDE the link to the Symantec web site
instructions for removing the virus so the person is aware that they are
infected.
These viruses always do their dirty work all by
themselves - the "person" who sent it to you has no way of
knowing that they have done som and certainly has not done it
intentionally. Just be a good neighbor, protect yourself, and FYI them
how to do the same.

What an exciting evening last night!
If you weren't on BoB last after 4:30pm, you missed an exciting
evening! The ACS donations were pouring in after Belinda offered
to match all PayPal donations received from 4:30 - midnight last
night. I asked everyone to help Break the Belinda Bank!
Our goal was $3800.00 with a prayerful hope of $4000.00. I was
updating the total about every 10 minutes and as we grew closer to our
goal I was almost shaking with excitement! Everyone on BoB was
watching the totals climb. At 11:03 pm Hank offered a gift to the
next 5 people who donated. At 11:34 pm, the next donation in
put us exactly at last years ending total of $3725.00........27 minutes
later we finished at 12:01am with a Grand Total of $4040.00!!
$3750.00 from all of you and $290.00 for Belinda's match total. I
think you all did an excellent job of "breaking the Belinda
bank". As for Belinda, what can I say? She is generous
in every aspect of her life.
I just want to thank EVERYONE who so generously
donated to the BoB ACS Fund. Good luck to all of you in the raffle
drawing! As Karen (aka candlekitty) put it: "you all
are winners by helping with this cause."
Our total is sure to climb a bit more as donations
trickle in from snail mail. I will update the Marquee and the
Raffle name page each day until conference if there are any additional
donations received. PayPal donations are now closed. You can
still enter the drawing for the Grand Prize at the Friday Night
Fling. Only donations received before midnight July 16th, or mail
donations received with a postmark before July 16 will be entered in
both drawings - the BoB
Bonanza Box and the Directly From
the Heart whole enchilada Grand Prize.
Don't forget if you are at the Fling, there will be
LOTS of drawings for door prizes. These are the only prizes you
need to be present to win.
Oh, I almost forgot! The five who will receive
something special from Hank at the Fling for donating after his offer
are: Sarah Penn, Heather Beukelman, Jamie Hanson, Adriana Atkins and
Marilyn O'Meara. I hope you can all be at the Fling to receive
your special gift from Hank - not to mention a special Thank-You {Hug}
from him!
